What's Included In A Wind Mitigation?

Roof

Reports on the general condition and age of the roof covering, the type of roof-deck attachment, and the roof to wall connection. We also evaluate the roof geometry in order to determine the type of roof you have.

Secondary Water Resistance

Documents the presence of a protective layer that sits between the primary layer of the roof and the insulating layer of the roof that prevents water intrusion.

Opening Protection

Identifies impact resistant glazed and non-glazed openings. Insurance companies want to ensure that your residence is protected from flying debris at every possible opening including the garage.

Building Code and Permit Research

Determines the age of the home in order to ensure that it was built with current construction standards. If your home is older or has recently had a roof replacement, we will do the research to make sure we provide the insurance company with proper documentation.
